“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” -William Arthur Ward
It’s almost Thanksgiving and there are so many reasons to be thankful. On Thanksgiving you have the opportunity to be with friends and family to celebrate the love you have for each other as well as cherish the time and memories you have spent and will spend together. You are able to be thankful for all the wonderful foods, such as turkey, potatoes and gravy, and the delicious pies.
But, since humans are very compassionate beings, we are able to give thanks 365 days a year for all the wonderful things there are in the world. In fact, recent psychological research has shown that the words “thank you” are not only proper manners, but they are two words that go a long way in the well-being of others. Saying “thank you” shows the individual that you value their time and energy which in turn creates a stable social relationship. Expressing your gratitude can lead to lower stress for others as well as yourself, which in turn creates a healthier YOU!
In life, we are able to decide whether we want to be happy or not. But the more positivity there is in the world, the more the world works together which promotes positivity. IBREA Foundation believes that we are able to help the lives of others by using our brains and take responsibility for our own lives in order to create the lives we want to live. We do so through an education that involves natural and simple exercises that have been proven to develop brain and body functions.
A quote from Michael Hyatt states: “The place we need gratitude the most is where we usually experience it the least.” This could mean many different places for many different people. For some, this could mean the work place. Even as an employee, you are able to say thank you to your employer. They have provided you with a job, which provides you with the money necessary to support yourself in the world. The more gratitude you show them, the more gratitude they will show you.
Make sure to give thanks to anyone and everyone you possibly can this year!
